Conscious living

Be present at every moment

Most people stay absent from the present. Instead, they keep on dwindling either in the past or in the future in their thoughts. Be present at every current moment. The moments you live is life, rest is just missing opportunities to live. Therefore end the absenteeism and remain in the present. Neither past will come back nor will you encounter future.

Past is gone. It cannot be changed or lived again. It’s gone and vanished. Future will never come. Because the future will be dependent on your present. The present is existential. Past and future are only in your thoughts. Yet while thinking about the past and the future we lose our life. This absenteeism from present will cost you your life.

Watch what you eat

Most of your behaviours are affected by what kind of food you consume. On the journey towards your consciousness be aware of what you take in. Light foods are always preferred as they don’t affect your emotions much. You may know that when someone is emotional he or she tends to eat more or less than his or her usual routine. Eat for the overall well being of your body not for the taste of your tongue. Have nutritious foods. Try to include more herbs and plants in your food habits.

Avoid processed food as they tend to contain a lot of chemicals as a preservative. Eliminate intoxicating beverages or at least try to moderate their consumption. Reduce taking medicines that are not compulsory (that won’t affect your health if eliminated or try to consume less of the medicines if possible). They disrupt the process of becoming more aware of consciousness. Your body is the first and foremost contact point for consciousness. Your body is the equivalent of a temple for your soul. Don’t litter this holy abode with junk food.

Watch what you see and hear

If you can be in nature then it’s wonderful. Otherwise, if you are living in a city life then be wary of what are you watching like on TV, YouTube or other social media platforms. Less you watch wasteful stuff the better it will be for you. These are images or sequence of images that affect your brain’s tasks as you happen to think subconsciously as to whatever you watch. It leaves long-term effects on your brain. On the other hand, we should use your senses to feel more about nature. Go out in nature and embrace the beauty in existence.

Along with that also be aware of what you hear like what kind of music you listen to. Less the words are used in music, it will be good. Listen to instrumental music as you can feel the rhythm of the music. Rather than getting lost in the lyrics and then your own old memories which might resemble the lyrics.

Don’t talk too much with the people around you. Keep silence so that you can hear your own breath, your own energy flow and feel the air even through your skin pores when it touches you. Try to go to the depth of your senses. It can only happen when you are empty from thoughts.
