Your Definite Way to Success

Your Definite Way to Success

Ego is destructive

If you believe in yourself, good for you. But if you are self-obsessed then you must know that ego can destroy everything, your relationships, your career and so on. You may think that the world is against you. You are always right, others are wrong. No one understands you and many more.

Try to find out the reality behind these thoughts. Be watchful of these kinds of thoughts such as. “The world is against you”? Why? Are you a danger to their existence or life or career or anything? If no, then why would anyone be against you?”
“You are always right, others are always wrong”. Why? Are you more than a human? Are you a god? Do you know everything about this planet or people on this planet? Then what makes you think like that. Accept that you don’t know many things yet.

“No one understands you”. Why should anyone understand you, when you don’t understand yourself? Why is there even a need that someone should understand you? Do you understand everyone or everything? There can be many more realities like these above. Therefore keep your ego at the bay and look for realities behind the questions and impressions in your mind. Be your own master, don’t let your ego take over your place.

Accept parent’s wisdom

In today’s knowledge explosion scenarios, you may happen to have more knowledge than your parents, but you lack the wisdom and experience what your parents and elders have. Understand this and accept this reality. You parents don’t have knowledge as you have, not because they are not that intelligent enough but they don’t have time to update themselves with every day’s technologies.

Moreover, they are also busy with other activities to fulfil their responsibilities. This is not their weakness but their priority is to fulfill the needs of their family instead of consuming time in gathering new knowledge. Nonetheless, experience comes with the age, which your parents have. Don’t underestimate their power. Rather make them understand your power. Explain to them that you can take care of yourself and you are grown up to make choice.

They should let you learn from your mistakes. They should have faith in you. They may seem strict or rude sometimes, but it happens because they are protecting you since you were born. Give them some time to realize that you don’t need their protection anymore. Live with the harmony with your parents. They may have a different perspective towards life; still, they are there for you. You are a seed made from that tree. That tree has seen more storms in life than you.
