Conscious living

In today’s era, life has become so fast that people have become like machines. Machines don’t do the conscious living. They only follow instructions or the programming that is fed inside them. This is what humans have also started doing with their respective lives. Most of the time their brains are occupied with something else while doing a task. For eg. – They may be thinking about work even while eating and thinking about food while working.

We have become the slaves to our mind instead of being the master. Our senses are not in our own control. We are running after our desires all the time which seem to have no end at all. We accomplish one desire then start longing for another. This is a never-ending vicious cycle.

Due to this, we have lost our peace and health as well. However, people are now realizing how this fast pacing lifestyle is affecting our mental and physical health adversely. Is it really worth losing your health for your never-ending desires? You will never meet anyone who would say ‘yes’ as an answer to this question.

So let’s ascertain how we can live consciously not only to have a peaceful and healthy life but to find the truth within us:

Consciousness is eternal

You are born with consciousness. Consciousness is always there in you. Unfortunately, you happen to fill yourself and your surroundings with so much of nuisance that you are unable to listen to your own voice. You have overburdened yourself with possessions. You are so much indulged with the outer world, that you forget about your true self. For conscious living, you have to bring back your awareness from the outer to inward. You have to walk towards your inner world.


At the first step, you have to become open-minded. You must be open-hearted towards the changes that will follow in on your path to consciousness. Becoming aware of yourself and your surrounding can be an overwhelming experience. It can be painful too at times until you reach the core of yourself as you become very sensitive. So beware and keep your mind open that anything can happen and can come to your way. Don’t expect only happiness and smooth path. Some feeling may be breathtaking. For eg., You will feel immensely sad when you will see other’s pain. Therefore, be devoted to those moments which are yet to come despite these immense emotions.

Be loving and kind to everyone and everything. Bring awareness to your whole self. By conscious means that you become aware of our inner self and outer world. You see the reality. You come to know what is real and what is an illusion. Be conscious of your breathing, your energy which is flowing inside your body. Bring awareness to every single activity you do like walking, moving hands and arms, seeing, listening.

Everything is no less than a miracle. Feel that energy inside you. Feel what it is who speaks from inside you. Don’t question but feel it. All of this awareness will be followed by the awareness towards the surroundings like air, sky, and every part of nature. You will realize everything in existence is one. You will become one with the air as you are taking air while breathing in. The air flows through your body. You will feel air within each pore of your body. Feel everything by your heart, don’t think or question.

Don’t even try to explain it in words, but become the one with existence. In starting you may miss some points or may not understand what to do or how to do. Just bring awareness to all your senses like ears, tongue, nose, skin, eyes but yet stay centered. Existence will help you to evolve. You won’t have to do much or understand anything. Bring awareness and existence will do the remaining task. You will apparently become very sensitive as you will be seeing everything which you have not noticed until now, more clearly. So don’t feel scared. You will start absorbing everything around you. This all will fill you with lots of emotion. Be prepared for that.
